When records aren’t quite what they seem…
Yesterday I picked up this piece of vintage vinyl in a charity shop, for £1.
I was expecting to enjoy The 12″ Album by Howard Jones, including this massive hit:
And this one called New Song.
But when I got home I discovered that this wasn’t 12 inches of Howard Jones.
You see, the cover didn’t match the record.
It was still Howard Jones, but a different album.
Inside, was his LP Dream Into Action.
Dream Into Action contains the hit Things Can Only Get Better.
And Look Mama.
So yes, I was disappointed that this wasn’t the album I thought it was, but I was happy to discover more Howard Jones music.
I’ll make sure to check inside the record sleeves next time I’m in the charity shop…
