I’m from Oxfordshire, England. Um, could you be more specific with your questions? You’re not a very good interviewer.

Alright, calm down. Why did you start blogging?

I wrote a dissertation about public libraries in America, and started a blog in 2013 called Libraries Connect Communities based on my research.

Fascinating, I’m sure. Yawn…

It was interesting, and I built up a following, but gradually I moved to writing more about my own life, so I left that blog behind and set up My Mashed Up Life instead.

What’s My Mashed Up Life all about then?

I’m only here to ask the questions, buddy, not to think about it.

Hey, I never said we were friends. Just answer the question, before we all fall asleep.

I created it to write about books, music and parenting, mostly.  But sometimes other things creep in, like work, and wellbeing.

Not exactly groundbreaking, is it?

I never said it was groundbreaking. I just enjoy doing it, that’s all.

What’s the best thing about blogging?

Making connections with other bloggers and discovering their writing.
