Thus far I have avoided getting political here.

But that changes today.

Today Trump made racist attacks against Democratic congresswomen, suggesting “they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”

The women he appears to refer to are Ocasio-Cortez, Tlaib and Pressley, who are all natural-born US citizens.

My children are natural-born citizens, too. So is my wife.

My in-laws became US citizens in the 1970s after moving there from the Philippines.

According to Trump’s racist remarks, my children and my wife should go and live in the Philippines, even though they were all born in the US and are Americans.

I’m a legal immigrant too, by the way.

But this isn’t about me.

This is about all the millions of people Trump has insulted, racially abused and threatened today.

Call him what he is. A racist.
