So here we are at December 1st and the Christmas tree is up.

We have kids, so obviously the tree had to go up today.

There was so much excitement in our house this morning that you could have mistaken it for the actual Christmas Day.

Here are some of our more unusual decorations…I’ll let you be the judge of what they say about us.

Yes, that is a disco mirror ball. Because nothing says Christmas like a mirror ball, right?

A crown from Windsor Castle. Think of it as a tribute to Claire Foy and Olivia Colman.

Yes, that is a sparkly gold shoe, dangling seductively next to the disco mirror ball; the perfect way to honour Our Lord Saviour.

A festive sock monkey. Just so you know, that it his tail, not his penis.

And finally, the TARDIS, because there’s usually a Doctor Who Christmas special, right?
