We are lucky enough to live in a rural Oxfordshire village with woods just a short walk away from our home.
During this period of lockdown we have gone for walk through the woods almost every day.
We usually head out after lunch to get some fresh air and to clear our heads after a morning spent working on a laptop (me) and doing school work (the kids).
In the woods there are dens to explore, paths to follow, sticks to pick up and birdsong to hear.
Our walk helps to clear school work frustrations and opens up the world beyond the confines of our four walls. Suddenly adventures are possible as we disappear into another realm, with knights and creatures and stories and trails.
Fresh air and wildlife and nature help to ease the stresses of isolation and lockdown. I am so thankful we have these woods.
Wow! 🙂
