As we can’t go anywhere at the moment I thought I’d go back in time and revisit travel experiences from my past.
Previously I’ve taken you back to Vancouver in 2006 and Japan in 1994.
This time we’re going to Barcelona in 2018.
My wife and I went there for a long weekend as a 10th wedding anniversary celebration.
We left the kids with my parents (thank you mum and dad) so we could have a child-free weekend away.
The architecture was breathtakingly gorgeous.
We packed in as many of the famous sights as we could, including a guided walking tour of the old city.
It was a wonderful weekend. I hope we can return there one day.
Who knows, by then they might have finished building the cathedral!
I was there for a business trip in 2017 and would love to go back and explore more (I had a wee bit of free time, so I crammed in what sightseeing I could). The baroque architecture is amazing.
