Here we are hurtling towards the end of the year at lightening speed, and what a great year for music 2020 has been.
Plastic Hearts by Miley Cyrus

released 27th November 2020
If you had told me a few years ago that in 2020 I would be a big fan of a Miley Cyrus album I would not have believed you, but here we are.
It all started with her fantastic single Midnight Sky; all blazing synths, a disco baseline and a deep, powerful vocal. It’s impossible to resist.
Prisoner is no less of an earworm, blending perfectly Dua Lipa’s disco-pop with Miley’s 80’s influenced rock sounds.
The album itself is more rock than pop, though, and showcases Miley’s powerful, smoky and emotive voice. The whole album is irresistible; NME describes it best as “an absolute blast”.
More of my favourite albums of 2020: What’s Your Pleasure?, Apolonio, Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark, Chromatica, modern anxiety, Róisín Machine, Supervision, Fun City and Future Nostalgia.
