Favourite Albums of 2020: The Neon

Here we are hurtling towards the end of the year at lightening speed, and what a great year for music 2020 has been.

The Neon by Erasure

released 21st August 2020

Oh, Erasure, thank you for shining your neon lights so brightly this year, to share your gleaming beams of electro-pop during this gloom-ridden year.

Pop music really has saved this year, offering pure escapism from the horrors of covid life, lockdowns and loneliness. We have needed dancefloors more than ever, but for now we’ll have to make do with our living rooms or kitchens.

80’s disco synths and beats have never been more welcome, and no-one does it better than Erasure.

More of my favourite albums of 2020: What’s Your Pleasure?, Apolonio, Night in the Park, Kiss in the Dark, Chromatica, modern anxiety, Róisín Machine, Supervision, Fun City, Future Nostalgia and Plastic Hearts.
