We can’t go anywhere at the moment so I’m going back in time to revisit travel experiences from my past.

Previously I’ve taken you to Vancouver in 2006, Japan in 1994, Barcelona in 2018, Hawaii in 2009, Jerusalem in 1993, Sapporo in 2000, Australia in 2001, Paris in 1995 and New England in 2009.

This time we’re heading on back to Chicago in 2019.

We spent a few weeks that summer visiting friends and family in the US.

It was a whirlwind visit; a week in Wisconsin, a few days in Chicago and then a week in New Jersey.

Chicago was breezy and cool, a welcome relief from the oppressive heat and humidity of Wisconsin.

We took a ride on a water taxi, went up Sears Tower Willis Tower, explored the Bean and spent precious time with a family friend.

We used to live in Wisconsin so we had visited Chicago many times before, but this was the first time our children had been old enough to remember going.

Who knows when we will be able to visit our family and friends in the US again, but hopefully it won’t be too far in the future.
