What are you reading?

This week I’ve started reading Sandi Toksvig’s Almanac, subtitled An eclectic meander through the historical year.

It’s the kind of book to dip in and out of rather than to devour in one fully-focused, ferociously fast-paced read.

So far I’ve read the entries for January, which as you might expect from the pen of Sandi Toksvig, was very entertaining. I think I’ll try to pace myself to read each chapter for the appropriate month that we’re in.

I’m also about to start Across the Nightingale Floor by Lian Hearn.

This is volume one of The Tales of The Otori, so if I like this book I’ll have to track down the rest of the series!

It looks very intriguing, and because I used to live there I have a love of all things Japanese.

So do tell me, what are you reading this week?
