Five Star seem to have been forgotten now, but they were hugely successful back then and were even compared to The Jacksons.

Their back catalogue is a joy to behold, full of perfect pop hits that rival the best of the 80s.

They had a run of hit singles and albums between 1985 and 1988, but then their popularity suddenly nosedived and attempts at a comeback failed.

It’s a shame they’ve been forgotten because listening to them again now I’ve been reminded of how great some of their songs were.
