A to Z best 90s Albums: I do not want what I haven’t got

I is for I do not want what I haven’t got.

Like most people, I was unaware that Sinéad O’Connor existed prior to Nothing Compares 2 U hitting the Number One spot in 1990.

I was so taken by it that I not only bought this album but also her debut, Lion and the Cobra.

I mean, that voice. So emotive. So powerful. You can tell that she means every single word.

Listening to this album still feels like a spiritual experience.

I remember listening to a live broadcast on BBC Radio One of one of her gigs from that time and being blown away by what I heard.

I do not want what I haven’t got remains one of my favourite albums of all time. Stream it below and visit Albumism for a detailed retrospective.
