Wow, what a book!
I read this in one sitting, lounging in the garden.
The story behind this autobiography inspired the movie An Education, starring Carey Mulligan.
Lynn Barber candidly reveals all about her relationship with an older man when she was still a schoolgirl, and describes her years afterwards as a student at Oxford University, then as a wife and mother and her career as a writer.
Without giving too much away, she went on to become an award-winning journalist, writing for Penthouse, the Sunday Express and The Guardian.
I loved the movie when I watched it a few years ago, but I think I love this book even more.
