On hot summer days I always look for shade.
Not just for myself, but for my children, too.
That’s why I made this little den in a shady corner of our garden.
Positioned under a large apple tree, behind a shed and next to a big hedge, this spot is almost always in the shade.
There isn’t really much to it; just some tarp, a couple of chairs, and some bunting.
It is hidden away in this leafy spot, out of sight from the rest of the garden, waiting to be discovered.
A place for imaginative play, away from the glare of the hot sun.
We’ll see how much it gets played with this summer…
